INTRODUCING 13: M83

The sound of M83 can only be described as "out of this world". Their use of cosmic synths and magically crafted vocals all help, as does the fact they are actually named after the far away spiral galaxy called Messier 83. Founded by talented French musician Anthony Gonzalez, his project M83 has evolved in recent years after touring with and taking influence from iconic 80’s electronic group Depeche Mode.
With the latest album "Hurry up We’re Dreaming" gaining critical acclaim and commercial success alike, (Midnight City made the Radio 1 A List), it seems that Anthony Gonzalez may well have found the perfect blend of indie appeal and mainstream accessibility. Catch M83 on their final UK tour date at the Shepherds Bush Empire on Thursday 16th Feb.
