Following in the footsteps of previous season openers The Kooks and Plan B we are excited to confirm that the amazing Ed Sheeran will open our biggest Rocks season ever in 2012.
Ed Sheeran was one of the countries biggest breakthrough artists of the last year emerging from nowhere to battle at the top of the single and album charts with the likes of Rihanna and Coldplay… not bad for someone who is still only 20.
With a number one debut album ‘+’, smash hit singles ‘The A Team’, ‘You Need Me’ and ‘Lego House’ storming the chart and now 3 Brit awards already under his belt we can’t wait to see what he brings to the Rocks stages when he opens the season on June 5th in Mallorca.
Joining Ed Sheeran for the island’s biggest Opening Party are young soul rebels The Milk. Labeled by the NME as ‘the next band you should be paying attention to’ we caught them live last month in London and know their unique brand of infectious northern soul, meets punk, meets reggae will be the perfect way to kick off the season.
